Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is an endocrine disorder in women due to hormonal imbalance. This imbalance results in the formation of cysts in the ovaries. PCOS can be diagnosed by symptoms such as irregular periods, delayed periods, absent menses, short and scanty menses. In some cases, heavy bleeding, acne, abnormal and unwanted growth of hair on the face and other parts of the body, also known as – hirsutism, difficulty in getting pregnant because of anovulation, hair fall and weight gain. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is one of the major causes of infertility in women.
